Why the hell you made a map this is so useless.... i dont like iti dont enjoy the gameplay. Very enjoyable HOG with a bit of a twist. To start off with, the good points:Hidden object scenes:As a bit of background here- I actually got hooked on hidden object games as a result of getting hooked on room escape games- the addition of hidden object scenes is just sort of a sometimes tedious annoyance that I put up with so that I can enjoy the game as a whole. Some of these games will extend that annoyance by making hidden object scenes where you have to figure out how to add one item to another before you can click on it (eg, if the list wants a red ball you have to find a brush, put it in red paint and then paint the ball, then click on it) and it's fun if you are a real HOG fan, or a pain in the neck if you're not. Some games allow you to get around this and make it so that you can switch the hidden object scene for a card game instead so you get to do something fun rather than what can feel like randomly clicking the screen. I mention this because I notice sometimes people have an issue with overly tedious hidden object scenes, or ones where you can't find things too often due to poor graphics or just how awkward they've made it. And this brings me to my first point. This game features some fairly standard, non-aggravating hidden object scenes: you don't have the option to switch them for a mini game, but to be honest, I didn't want to, as these hidden object scenes were fairly okay. There are a few objects, the names on the list highlighted a different colour, that you might have to open a box or drawer to find- that aside, there's not much complicated nonesense to them. They don't appear what feels like constantly so that it becomes an impediment to gameplay like with some of these games.General gameplay:Aside from the standard hidden object thing, this game has a little bit of an unusual twist in that as well as having to find the items you need to progress, you also have to find health packs in order to be able to complete certain tasks. In that sense, it feels a little more to me, in comparison to some HOG type games, like a room escape or adventure game. It requires more than just some random pieces of a lock or something to get into the next area like some of these games (which in itself isn't a bad thing, it's just nice to have a change.)The objects you need to collect to progress also make relative sense- for example, a standard key to get into a box or car trunk rather than a weird lock piece shaped like a bloody starfish or some random thing like that. You will have to find tools, for the most part, to get where you need to go, very much as you would in real life. In that way you're a bit less aware of the silliness of the game you're playing- there are some of these that I consciously feel are ridiculous while playing and it can at times make it a bit annoying, and didn't have that problem with this game.Plotline:The story is fairly good, not too over the top: again, some of these games are fun, but have a ridiculous element that can grate on you after a while, but I'd say this one is quite reasonable plotwise. It's a bit dark, so it's to my personal taste, and managed to have a dark storyline without throwing in any ghosts or demons or magic flipping amulets or anything like that. Very pleased with the storyline overall.Sound, graphics and cutscenes:One of my major issues in some of these games is when they have characters talking or do cutscenes that're really badly executed and only serve to make it really embarrassingly corny. This game to its credit did not do that. The cutscenes were fine, and although they have text for the characters they actually don't talk, avoiding the possibility of corn overload. The music in the background is exactly that- background sound: it doesn't take over your attention by being too loud or dramatic or generally irritating. Puzzles:The puzzles in this game are, for me, surprisingly difficult. They actually make you think hard to figure them out and, if you can't figure them out, you can skip them. Which I admit I had to do quite a few times. Personally I'd prefer them a tad easier but they were very good- so it's a positive and sort of negative for me I guess. There are only a few negative points for me. The main one being that the hint button does take a long time to recharge and, in places where you get stuck, the hint won't point you where to go, but rather just tell you there's nothing to do wher you are- so you'll have to run around between places trying to figure it out. Of course that makes it a bit more challenging but on the easiest setting I'd personally want to do a bit less faffing about. The next small niggle I have is that, if you're zoomed in on something when a cutscene starts, it'll zoom you out again afterwards, so if you don't remember to zoom back in and make sure you don't have anything else to pick up, you'll end up having to go back later when you realise it's the only place left to look when you can't find an object to help you progress. (I didn't have that issue as I remembered to zoom back in, so just a note if you're thinking of playing this to save you some messing about.) It's also a bit short- maybe I went through it very quickly as I played it in one sitting (I'm ill with the flu and bored to tears so normally I'd be at work and pretending to adult so wouldn't be playing it in one sitting on a normal day.)Lastly, as already mentioned the puzzles can be very tricky: great if you're in the mood for it, not so much if you're just trying to do something a bit mindless and easy.. Standard fare, with some unique (but hardly a worth a breath) puzzles. The healh meter is an interesting bit but it's really just more object hunting. The game is really hampered down by bad item logic and an uninteresting story. The zombies are nothing more than background noise and have no influence whatsoever and there's really nothing to uncover that you won't know/understand in the first 20 minutes,. This is a unique HOG in the fact that you have a health bar. You have to restore your health to certain levels to proceed with certain actions. Other then that this is a general run of the mill Hog with some horror elements. Not bad, not great. Buy if you like this sort of thing.. 0K game. Gives you what you expect without shining at any aspect, but without sucking also. Its one of those games that needs a review between negative or positive. But since there is none, for sure deserves a positive much more than a negative.. This is a unique HOG in the fact that you have a health bar. You have to restore your health to certain levels to proceed with certain actions. Other then that this is a general run of the mill Hog with some horror elements. Not bad, not great. Buy if you like this sort of thing.. Bought it in the bundle, and well worth it, even at full price.. This is a hidden object/point and click puzzle-adventure game with a slightly gritty atmosphere and a few mild jump scares. Unfortunately the graphics are fixed and there's no proper widescreen, the graphics are stretched to fit 16:9 aspect ratio. No Widescreen, but released in 2016? I can't recommend this due to that problem.
